Middle Earth Assistance Program – not for RSSW credit

Dear UAlbany Student,

The Middle Earth Peer Assistance Program is currently seeking applicants for its Fall 2016 Training Class. Middle Earth provides services to the University at Albany campus and the community through a student-staffed and professionally supervised hotline, peer education service, and peer career advisor program.

Middle Earth is an excellent way for you to gain experience and preparation for careers in psychology, social work, teaching, medicine, communication and other related fields. Anyone can apply, regardless of major. Course credit is available through ECPY 400, 403, 404, 405, 406, and 497 in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology. These courses also fulfill some of the requirements for an Educational Studies minor at the University.

Middle Earth will be hosting a General Interest Meeting on Monday, April 4th at 8:00pm in Humanities 354. Refreshments will be served!! 

The deadline for applications is April 15th

To apply:

  1. Go to https://myinvolvement.org/form/start/87906 and complete the online form. Be sure to click on the “Submit for Approval” button when you are finished.
  2. Be sure to follow the instructions on how to make an interview appointment.
